Default Swim Platforms

From a practical standpoint, a swim platform can be of great use.

1) Great place to swim from.
2) Great place to board a dinghy
3) Great place to just sit and get the toes wet.
4) Good for mounting a radar clear of the working deck.

It's just pathetic to have a sealed reverse transom these days. The
space is almost always wasted. Boarding seas aft are hardly a factor
for the coastal cruising most of us do. A swim platform is a MUST!

Brilliant deduction!

Is a fishing boat a great place to fish from?

No, not always. Depends on the type of fishing you're doing and the
boat used. You don't use a Bass boat for deep sea. Your ignorance on
ALL topics appears to have no bounds.

Of course...as millions of people have and continue to do. It's one of
the cleanest bodies of water due to it's daily "flushing." Pollution
factors are in the sediment...and a serious problem. The water is
generally fine and better than the beaches where god-knows-what washes
up. I know this well as I have previously been a member of the Great
Gull Island project and monitor closely their yearly reports from the
Museum of Natural History.

Not if it's sitting on the hard.
