Dear what's left of the group,

I have learned through nefarious means that there's a e-mail going
around to regular subscribers of asa to the effect the only way
to "win" the battle with Neal and his cronies - those ******* newsgroup
destroyers, that awful awful, evil awful, cross-posting pussycat posse -
is to let them think they've won and they'll get tired and go away.

The e-mail suggests posting a final time and saying goodbye to the group
and then lurking or posting to some other forum but not posting here until
the mess made by Neal and his destroyers goes away. Several have already
done so realizing the signal to noise ratio is such that they are not missing
much by doing so. Go ahead, persist in your ignorance and stupidity!

Denial has gotten you netKKKop supporters and abiders into the mess you're
in and only by disavowing any and all netcops will you see the meow army
retreating. Every time Leyland and his fine group of free speech
advocates read posts from people who support netcops, it only serves
to steel their resolve to continue to fight the good fight for freedom,
justice and the Usenet way.

Here are the facts which have been stated over and over again.

1) Haight and Ganz are directly responsible for the group being
the outlet for a display of disgust for netcops and their supporters.
This disgust comes mostly from people who have chosen to make
news servers and Usenet their avocation and have to deal with
bogus abuse complaints daily until they're not gonna take it
anymore.

2) Those who profess to care about this group need to publicly denounce
netcops instead of supporting them or sympathizing with them or
blaming anybody but them. As it stands now, asa is a den of iniquity.
A house divided against itself cannot stand.

3) Those who want asa to return to the so-called good old days need to
realize this will not happen unless and until they make a stand voicing
their belief that any and all netcops should cease and desist their
chicken**** behavior.

4) Haight and Ganz, at this point, are the only people who can restore
the group back to some semblance of normalcy in the near future.
They can do this by publicly apologizing for their netKKKopping and
stating they will refrain from doing it again. Since they are, to date,
unwilling to step up to the plate and do the right thing, they bear
full responsibility for the present state of affairs. By their
continued silence, they prove they care nothing about the group
as a whole.


Go ahead and ignore the above FACTS and the group you profess to
enjoy as a pastime will become just another vast wasteland like a good
many other groups on Usenet. The choice is yours.
