Sounds nice. I've been to Beaufort NC, but not SC. looks like a
great cruising area.

It has it's plusses, especially if you like unspoiled nature (ie lots of
swamp) and small towns with history. There are pretty big tides but at
least there's no rocks.

... You been to Savana? I hear that's nice.

Heck yeah, it's one of my favorites. We used to race the Lightning at
Savannah, the yacht club is like a movie set of "Ye Olde Posh Yacht
Club" but it's really very friendly & hospitable. For cruisers it's not
a cheap place though. Most of the marinas are rather pricey and the
tidal current makes anchoring out rather inconvenient to get downtown.
The old river front has a mix of bars... one has a big plain sign out
front saying CHEAPEST BEER IN TOWN and then there are microbreweries...
and the obligatory rows of yuppified shoppes.

Friend from Plattsburg NY was visiting, they can't believe we don't

have
snow and ice all over everything. It's already summer!

well yeah, seems like just last week it was snowing. Hit 80* today up
on the landfill.

You all have pine pollen up there? We have it really bad right now. I
hope the trees are enjoying it.
