Amazing capsize caught on film under the Golden Gate

Check it out.. I'm betting this guy will not try this again. Looks like
everyone got into the act. This was one lucky dude... should have known
better than to try and sail in that spot.

LP,

I've made up my mind not to say or think ill of you, because you are the
companion of a friend of mine. A good 'net friend.

Please make some effort to make peace for every one sake. We don't
require your presence if we bother you but if you stay realize that the
group can't change for you. It is you who must change or leave us be,

Ole Thom

Just goes to show the evils of sailing a boat instead of working on it!
That boat already needed work, including new bottom paint. There was no
reason to take her out. The wages of sin .....

That was ugly. I wonder if the mast came off because of the rollover, or
if it hit the bottom. WTF was the guy doing sailing there?

The wages of stupidity, more like.

And the boat may not have needed bottom work. A lot of boats that get
prepped for racing have very patchy looking bottoms from being sanded
fair... the anti-foul is this slick short-term stuff that's clear.

Yeah it's not to bright to surf next to a rockey shore. Im sure his
mast was tore off due to a shallow hard bottom.

Yachtsea with dice on the side was fitting, he rolled the dice on that
one an has a major bad day. He was lucky not to have pitch poled.

If your going to surf you better have a boat that can plane with a
fast to rise bow, or you better have a full heavy keel.

No. That's further out. This is right under the Golden Gate, south
stanchion. Not a good place to sail when there are waves.
