Obviously, he made had a big lapse in judgement. I just can't imagine why.
It's pretty obvious when there are breaking waves.


Maybe he was in close, trying to avoid an unfavorable current. Maybe he
thought he could get a boost by surfing those waves. Maybe there was a
really beautiful woman on shore he wanted to get a closer look at.

How do you know for sure? A lot of gay hair dressers or fashion
designers have to look very closely at women.

I think it might have been an attempt to surf, which is fine, except that
you don't do that if the waves are breaking. Usually, if you see surfers
there, it's not the right time.

If it's only 20+ feet then the mast struck bottom. Duh if you said it
was 30+ feet then maybe the mast did not strike bottom.

Anyone that surfs a sailboat knows to hand hold the main sheet so you
can let go if you roll, reducing the load on the mast. amatures!

I suppose it's theoretically possible, but I doubt it. That would take quite
a bounce.
