First-time jobless claims rose 17,000 to 327,000 last week from 310,000 the
prior week, the Labor Department said. Claims hit the highest level in two months and came in above Wall Street economists' forecasts of an unchanged reading of 310,000. Well, there go 17,000 new home sales. Better luck next month Dave. I hear Bush is promising plenty of new jobs in the food and hospitality fields. By the way, thanks for the Reuters' link.
