"JG" wrote in message Joey is jealous because he can't afford it. It was in fact not crowded at all. It never really is, except such places as Foxy's or Bomba's Shack during full moon parties. Which is a good thing. The only place where even the mooring balls came close to being filled were Soper's Hole. . . . which is typical. But West End is still worth the stop. The food and drink is great, and it's fun to watch to locals play grab-ass after sundown. Also a great market there with everything needed for re-provisioning. The rest of the places were wide open. Even the locals commented that it was a combination of a poor US economy and a bad hurricane season. Did you visit the Willie T? Max |

I haven't visited the Willi T since they replaced the old one with the one
current there. We didn't stay on Jost for more than one night. The noseeums were out in force. -- "j" ganz @@ www.sailnow.com "Maxprop" wrote in message nk.net... "JG" wrote in message I haven't visited the Willi T since they replaced the old one with the one current there. Hmm, that was quite a while ago. The new one is slightly bigger, has the same primitive head facilities, and gets just as crazy around 11pm. We didn't stay on Jost for more than one night. The noseeums were out in force. I'll have to remember that about January. We've never been there earlier than April. No bugs of any kind then. I'm surprised they don't go for all the goats and leave the sailors alone. Max |

The old one was unique in that they had to keep the pumps running 24/7 or
the damn thing would sink. Did you watch the bellybutton shots? Are they still doing that? I heard that women who take off their tops get a free t-shirt. -- "j" ganz @@ www.sailnow.com "Maxprop" wrote in message nk.net... I heard that women who take off their tops get a free t-shirt. Hmmm. We saw far more than bb shots. A brief summary: two young females--both quite well endowed--were stark naked, dancing on a table. Two young men stripped and danced with them. Later one of the young men and one of the young women were seen copulating in a corner while others looked on and applauded. About that time a rather obese middle-aged woman removed her top and before she got her shorts off we beat a hasty retreat to the dink and motored away. This particular party went on for another several hours. We had to haul anchor and move the boat--too noisy. I'm told that particular type of evening was not all that unusual on the Willie T. Max |

Damn! That reminds me.
MARTI GRA is this weekend in Galveston. I hope all the slips are not rented, they are within staggering distance from the strand. Joe |
