Umm, no.

York Pennsylvania was the nation's original capital.

The nation's first capital was Philadelphia, then the great metropolis
of North America with a population of more than 40,000. In December
1776, however, in the face of advancing British forces, the
Continental Congress hurriedly adjourned to Baltimore (capital #2).

Matters deteriorated anew in September. With Philadelphia at the point
of capture, Congress again bolted, this time heading for Lancaster,
Pennsylvania (capital #3). There it met for exactly one day before
deciding the Brits were still too close for comfort. The delegates
forthwith repaired to York (capital #4), which was safely on the other
side of the Susquehanna River.

the capital drifted from Princeton (#5) to Annapolis (#6), Trenton
(#7), and finally New York (#8),

DC was # 9

Can't argue with 'The Straight Dope.'

Did you read about the Great Boston Molasses Flood of 1919?

No, but I saw the story about it on the History channel.

Real life is better than fiction.

Yep. I keep saying that history is like a soap opera, only the people
wear less make-up and it's far far less predictable.

I might take you up on that. First both teams have to get that far.

Both San Diego and Indy look pretty good too. however most
people, myself included, have decided that the Steeler Pats matchup
is themost like AFC Championship game.

I think this will be better than the superbowl this year. I'm eage to see
Corey Dillion run for 100 yards against the Chokers.

Put your money where your big fat mouth is Bart.

I got fifty bucks that says the Steelers will beat the Pats
if it comes to that. If you should happen to win you can
use the money to stock up on Egg Beaters so your arteries
don't clog up again.

The playoffs are usually better than the SuperBowl.

NOT going to happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd bet you, but my wife doesn't let me bet.
