Pic for Neal
Here ya go....
Nikon D70, at 60mm, 1/125th, F/16, hard flash only. RAW downconverted. http://members.aol.com/bobsprit/images/boobaby22.jpg. I get sharper results from the 50mm prime, but there's such a thing as too sharp with pics like this. From my R300M photo printer, this made for a stunning 8X10 borderless print. Capt RB |
Nice crop on the head Bob... real professional!

The fully cropped print his eyes, nose and mouth only. A classic ECU portrait show. Quite an imagination you have there, Mooron! RB |
Nice detail in that pic.
I can even tell by the poor little blighter's lips that he's bottle fed. Breast fed babies don't have that slightly stretched upper lip. CN "Bobsprit" wrote in message ... Here ya go.... I can even tell by the poor little blighter's lips that he's bottle fed. Yup, we give him a bottle of breast milk once a day, usually his last feeding before bed at 7:30. If you think that pic has detail, you should see the original RAW version. RB |

Tiff format?
CN No, tiff still loses info and includes white balance and other data. With RAW you set the WB after you shoot. RB |

What a complete Dufus you are Bob.... Bwahahahahahahaa!! Guess you never saw the work of Any Warhole or any of the Picasso Dark Mirror collection of photos. I really can't help your ignorance on this one mooron. You probably also think there are "rules" for centering subjects, then again you probably never saw Cityscapes exhibit either. Bob, You will cause permanent damage to the young lad's eyesight if you take too many photos like that. From the dilation of his pupils, it is evident that he was in relative darkness before you exposed him to the flash! In future think about the poor baby. Turn up the lights before using the flashgun on him. The reason that he cried after you took the photo is because his eyes were in pain. Regards Donal -- |
Have you noticed how the lad's face is quite asymmetrical? Draw a straight line from top to bottom centered on his little nose and his mouth is way off to the side. The doc who delivered him should have taken a little more time molding his head into some semblance of evenness. CN "Donal" wrote in message ... "Bobsprit" wrote in message ... Here ya go.... Photoshop.... Bob..... don't be silly... he couldn't figure out a palette

I SERIOUSLY doubt it's the full version. Meanwhile, automated redeye repair does not do a very good job except for "snapshot" quality. In a closeup portrait, it would be VERY noticable. Figures that Moron would think that Photoshop's redeye presets would do more than a very crude job. BB I have several copies of PhotoShop, including a full version, along with Corel PhotoPaint, full version, couldn't tell you if any of the bundled versions are complete as I rarely use them, I take perfect pics right out of the box :) John Cairns |
You will cause permanent damage to the young lad's eyesight if you take too
many photos like that. Ahhh...another expert!!! 1) the flash is not pointed at him. It's wireless and out of his eyeline. 2) The room is bright (200 watts overhead), but he just had his eyes closed. The D70 is so damn fast, I got him just as he spotted the lens of the camera. RB |
Draw a straight line from top to bottom centered on his little
nose and his mouth is way off to the side. He's 15 weeks old. Head molding doesn't completely go away for 6-9 months. Face it. He's damn cute! RB |
I gotta admit it. He's one adorable kid.

If he was awake before you took the shot, and there was a 200W light in operation, then his pupils would not have been so dilated. The D70 is so damn fast, I got him just as he spotted the lens of the camera. Sorry, Bob. That's not quite true. Admit it ... the flash made him cry, didn't it? BTW, he's got a very cute nose. and there was a 200W light in
operation, then his pupils would not have been so dilated. Listen, doctor eyeball, babie's eyes are quite slow to react, not like an adult's eyes at all. He squeals and laughs when I take pics, because he likes the flashes. Like any baby, if something bugs him, he lets us know fast. RB |

HA! Lots of people much older than Thomas like to watch the little blue
light of a welder. They know it isn't good for their eyes, but they can't help it. Donal's correct (did I type that?), you could be ruining his eyes whether Thomas likes it or not.
