Coming from somebody who no longer sails or no longer
owns a sailboat I find it quite easy to discount your little troll. Go fire up that useless trawler of yours and pollute the environment some more . . . CN "DSK" wrote in message . .. Capt. Considering that your yellow monstrosity resembles a barn more than it does a sailboat: 1- why do you post here at all? 2- when are you going to put a proper barn door on your "boat"? DSK |

Go fire up that useless trawler of yours and pollute the environment some more . . . Thanks, just went for a nice boat ride yesterday. We cruised down the river to Beard's Creek and checked out the channel, which appears to be badly silted up. It was a bit chilly but that's what the Webasto heater is for! We'll probably go out again next weekend, but not long. I have some work to do installing a new capstan and upgrading the electrical system to suit. DSK |

In reply to CN's comment,
Pilothouses were used on sailing vessels a lot longer than Outboard motors or any motors. They were used on North Sea Sailing vessels, Trade Route Square Riggers, Down East Schooners and anywhere that needed a dry place to work charts and courses near the helm We've discussed this before (with the true Crapton:_ so I'll only mention it in a passing way) All Alias read up on Maritime History. Weather 9:09 PM Temp 55 F but blowing bloody hell! Force 5 but gusting
to F8 and predicted to gust higher. Light rain tonight but to get hvy in the morning. Time to Batten Down; Both house and boat. My "Rubber Maid" stool is missing from my cockpit. The old man was using it as a boarding aid. Don't know is wind blew it over the side or some one figured they needed it more. You people back East; Don't say I didn't warn you about the winds from the West. There're still coming Ole Thom |
