Marty, I fell in love with the fast passage making of multis many years ago. Sure, you need to pick reasonably flat water for ultimate comfort but the good one handle seas well. This one is a shade under 50', 4 double berths and a sweet yacht. Hopefully, she'll be mine in another few weeks then based in Syd she'll be doing crewed passages north, making 15kts without trying and well inexcess of 20 when hitting her straps. Fingers are still crossed :-) Good luck with it. A 50 footer should be easily big enough to be comfy without overloading and about as fast as can be.
