It's the same way with smoking cigarettes, a youngster will try one,
coughing and gagging and hating the taste. But he keeps trying
(studying) because he's been told it's the cool thing to do. So,
eventually, with enough study, he learns to like it, appreciate it,
need it, and then die from it.

"Bobsprit" wrote in message No? Perhaps you can

tell me
what famous European composer said the following?

"Not even a Chinaman can hum the melody of most Chinese

Classical."

It was one of Bernstein's favorite quotes and quite accurate, but

YOU know
better!

Actually it was featured on CBC.... unlike the USA we are privy to

global
music, news and programming. Just last week they had a 2 hour

program on
classical Japanese music and instruments.

No Bob... it's sufficient that you believe it ...and the rest of us see
clear through it.

The "rest of us??"
Fight your little losing battles on your own, Mooron. You really lost this
one.
No need to share to the loss!

Care to run a 'Vote" on that... remember what happened the last time you
assumed you'd win... you got BUSH for 4 MORE YEARS!!!!

Was his music on Bugs Bunny? I love the "Theme to the Lone Ranger" ...
now that's good classical!

It is indeed. I also love the scores from John Williams and Elmer
Bernstein...though Rossini may not have approved of his music adapted for use
in The Lone Ranger and Clockwork Orange...as per Wendy Carlos.

Ah... so now I'm not intelligent or educated enough to appreciate
classical
music??

You probably appreciate it much the same way as my infant son does.
Congrats!

I imagine he appreciates his mother's breast a lot more.... come to think
of it..... :-D

Hey, everyone! I like Brams! Now Mooron will think I like classical!!!!
