That's right...

Miss Spellings

How appropriate!

You mean Margaret La Montagne. I can see why she changed her
name. Being French is a distinct disadvantage in the BushCo
administration.

Wow, she has a BA. Highly qualified.

Heard a brief outline of her career on NPR tonight, she was "discovered" by
Karl Rove, no less! She will definitely need to clean up her act, though.
Conservatives jumped all over a statement she made about families not
necessarily being Mom and Dad, she was a divorced single mother at the time.

let's just hope she understands that "A Nation At Risk" was Reagan's attempt
to dismantle public schools, that T.H. Bell had a (not so) secret agenda,
that David Gardner never taught in public schools. Nor did GHB, Clinton, Ted
Kennedy, or GWB, yet somehow they all fancied themselves experts. No one
seems to have figured out that our schools are symptoms of the bigger social
mess. People who don't value education will never value schools, unless
pretending to value education can win votes.

Don't know anything about her, but sometimes one's record of performance
is
more important than the number of initials he puts after his name.

I was going to say she and Cheney are in the same bed, but it was too
gross to think about.
