Default Will our oceans be safe for sailing?

I fear we will loose the war on "terror", just like we lost the previous Gulf
war. Oh you thought we won it? No, we only stopped it, and now we don't have
the troop strength to carry on. We will lose this war on terror, just like we
have lost the war on drugs, the war on poverty, the French-Indo-China war, the
Korean war,….God knows what other modern "wars" there are, but most surely we
have not won a single one.

Why will we loose this war on "terror?" Because it is not a war on terror, it
is the Mid-East war, and we are just a part in a greater struggle. This is,
and always has been, a war between the Israelis and the Arabs, and we are on
the side of the Israelis. This is not about oil, this is not about democracy,
this about supporting the Israelis, nothing more, nothing less. The
"terrorist" think that if they can get us to stop supporting the Israelis, than
the Arabs might be able to win the Mid East war.

Our government claims we must support Israel because it is a democracy, and we
want democracy in the Middle East. We need democracy to insure our supply of
oil. Hogwash! We can, and have worked very well with non-democratic states,
and Israel has shown itself quite capable of taking care of itself. And what
if Israel should loose? What if the Arabs should win? How would it affect the
security of the US? Not one iota I think.

Right now we are not fighting a war on terror, but a Mid-East war. One we
cannot win because it is not our war, and perhaps one we should not be fighting
anyway! We loose these war because we donot commit the boots necessary to win
or have the political will,or sometimes even know what we are fighting about.

If we keep this up, it will become a global war, and then what oceans will be
save for us to sail upon?

Whole BUNCH of sour grapes. The oceans will be as safe as your seamanship
makes them, assuming of course your seamanship is not lacking an 'a.'
Really, truly, tell me. What's it like to live a life where your cup is
always empty? Never mind.......I don't want to know. The pitable part is
invoking God. He helps those who help themselves....and not those who spend
their lives crying. Only one thing for you to do. Move to Oregon. They
have a sure cure for what ails you.

God help me, I don't invoke God!

At any rate Michael, if the Mid East war becomes a global war, our oceans will
not be safe for sailing regardless of the number of a's in seamanship. We will
not be allowed to put to sea, or if we do, have a safe port in which to enter.

Sailing will be limited to piddling little lakes and such, and oceans will be
off limits.

Oh they will - with the same fervor and success as they have stopped

That's a relief, for a moment there I thought you were serious.
