Cheers Marty Yeah, I worked for a research(consumer) firm way back when, got involved in doing mileage testing for FoMoCo, they were trying to get better fuel economy #'s for the Escort. You had to drive like a typical old person, veeeeeeeeery slow acceleration from stops, etc. Nothing at all like the average person drives. My ZX3 is rated at 25/33, even though I have a lead foot it consistently averages around 25 mpg. in city driving, it will get around 25 on the interstate averaging 80-90 mph, who knows, maybe the EPA is using more realistic driving conditions to derive the numbers?
