Well I will throw in my opinion...it has been a while. Tanzers where built
in canada and I worked for a dealer that sold them back in the late 70s. Back then it was a pretty decent boat for the money. It was a comfortable sailor and ahead of its time in manufacturing shortcuts like the bulkheads that someone mentioned. The layup of the older boats was good and I particularly liked the 22' full keel model. I raced on barnegat bay a 7.5 and did very well. My expectations of this boat under decent care and maintainance would be that it probably smells bad and had developed lots of small leaks around the ports and deck joint. It was at the time that we sold them an improved alternative to Catalina. We also sold seidlemans. The Bob Seidleman was set up across the street. At that time they only built a 25'. Larger boats where added to the inventory. "Bobsprit" wrote in message ... I've just been handed the "keys" to a Tanzer 27, which I don't want. Anyone know the value of a 1982 Tanzer 27 or any particulars? How does she sail? She has 6 sails and a 9.9 hp. Everything works and she's clean. RB |
