and.....I had a great time. Sunday was blowing like 25 sustained, all
day. Came out of the anchorage with 1/2 the genny out, main still
tied down, got up to 6kts instantly. left the sails like this the
whole day, never got below 5 kts. Nice, wet, fun ride. )))))))

Nah, a loop, actually several small loops, around Chesapeake Bay.

One hell of an exciting trip report, Scottie!
Did you take one loop around the bathtub or two?

Thanks, Steve. That's what I saw too. No sustained 25 not winds for any length
of time as scotty reported. I have a buddy near Scotty with a C&C 24 and he
said averages were in the 15 knot range with a spike of higher wind as the sun
set.

Cool site, thanks. So it was more in the 18~22 kt range, and my ''like
25'' comment wasn't too far off considering I have no wind
instruments.

Imagine..... a sailor exaggerating wind speed a bit .

A "wee bit???"
IF you had 18 knots it's nowhere NEAR 25.
You as dumb in math as everything else!

Thank you! Now, do you dare work out the percentages? How much less wind by %
is 18 vs. 25?

if by ''Chutzpah'', you mean that he stuck his foot in his mouth and
made a fool of himself even after Steve posted a wind chart for that
day, then , yes, I agree with you, Donut.
