Nav September 13th 04 12:23 AM

Belated congratulations! I hope you will always be a strong kind father
with unlimited forgiveness behind a sharp rebuke. I wish you and your
family all happiness and security.

Thomas R. Brody was born last night, seven and a half pounds and very healthy.
We were aboard Alien grilling up some chicken when Suzanne said she felt a few
contractions. There was a lot of wake action from passing boats and perhaps
this was a factor....probably not. We went home and by 10:00 pm she was ready
to go to the hospital. All went well though is was pretty surreal. He's
certainly going to be a good sailor! I'll post a pic in a few days.

Be back soon!

Well, I'm shocked! Is this the *real* Nav?

Yes....it is the person who used to be...the recent Nav is just a bad
metamorphosis of the old MC......he's been playing with his test tubes for
too long....

Madam Vinyl, as with most cases of mental illness in families,
the long-time members of this newsgroup skirt the issue. They're
trying to be kind, but it's hindering the rehabilitation process,
not helping. For the harsh reality is that Nav has been but a
shadow of himself since his true protagonist, Capt Neal, cast his
hat in the ring and sailed away. We've all watched, sadly, as
Nav has flailed about, desperately searching for an opponent
worthy of his skills, and in the end been reduced to arguing
engineering inconsequentialities with DOug King. That once
splendid, even if misguided, intellect with its amazing cosmic
grasp has atrophied away, its dissolution mirrored by the steady
truncation and increasing meaningless of his tag. Nowhere is his
decay, his failure to cope with reality, more apparent than in
his newfound preference for sailing rather than continuing the
productive life as a 24-hour watcher and contributor to this
newsgroup. This is escapism of the highest order. Nav needs
help, but we are all powerless to offer any, until he himself
realises and asks for it.
