A bit of weather helm or are the sails unbalanced?

Seems like a lot for so little heel. Booby will probably say she's
changing course.

Cheers

How do you get weather helm with the wheel down?

You've been playing with your tiller too much. Think about it slowly.

Cheers

Nope. I only remember that we had quite a bit of wind that day. Marc's Freedom
was a pleasure to sail. Even in the puffs, she never heeled much.

4 turns lock to lock with 100* swing pt to stbd, There's a 1/8 cock to

Agreed.

The Mull Freedom makes sense to me.
Mull freedoms are gorgeous.

Better?

Sorry, I didn't mean to disagree the first time. Everybody should be at
least a little bit in love with their boat.

BTW I really wish I could find a picture of 'La Forza' on the wwweb.

The degree of rudder to starboard on a port tack...... weather helm.
The degree of rudder to port on a port tack.... lee helm

Marc explained it.. at 3 degrees it's hardly much for weather helm and would
in my opinion constitute a well balanced vessel. A bit of weather helm is
what you want.

The boat sailed and tracked well. It was a pretty ideal day with little chop
and a good amount of wind. The boat was also an excellent choice for an older
sailor as she required much less headsail effort. Down below was about as much
room as a new Catalina 380, but with better fit and finish.
I'll say it again: Nice boat.
