shen, gene, over the knee, jeffies, et al when faced with the reality that one
CAN NOT determine position using just a compass and a knotmeter, have decided
to change the definition of deduced reckoning to include -- in addition to the
compass and speed through water information -- the position of known marker
bouys, known depth contours, known sounds from shore, known smells from shore
and any and everything else that might tell them where they are. They don't
wish to call this by its given name, which is pilotage, but rather keep
insisting that it is dead reckoning, as in dead on a known position with solid
accuracy, all determined by use of just a compass and a speed through water
indicator.

dumb squats, they are. lucky, so far, but nevertheless dumb squats. It seems
that once took a USPS course and won't let go.

It should be illegal for any of them to ever have possession of an EPIRB. Let
Darwin improve the gene pool.

Poor jaxie's little mind is too small to understand what a "running fix" is.

jeffies, I not only know what it is, I know what it is not. you would know
what it is not if you had the physics degree you claim to you have, OR
experience in a fog.

btw, I heard recently catamarans described as the fake tits of the sailing
world. all hard edges and sharp corners, overly large for the sake of being
overly large, with no function added but sensitivity reduced.

Wow, jaxie, does anyone actually understand what you're talking about? You've
only been out of rehab for a few hours and its time to go back in!

it depends, jeffies. if "anyone" included people of average or better
intelligence, yes everyone understands what I am talking about. ask your wife
to explain it to you.

What we all understand, jaxass, is that you don't understand or know
what you're talking about.
