. net... Think about what has happened in Massachusetts. It's the most liberal state in the Union. They've destroyed the second amendment there. The don't call it Taxachussets for nothing. Do we want the US to be like that state? Heck no! Hey Bart, your grasp of Massachusetts politics is about as poor as your understanding of national politics. Massachusetts ranks 33rd in the nation in terms of per capita taxes as a percentage of income. |

Thom,
Kerry's record is clear. He is the most extreme liberal in Congress, tied with several others for that title. If you want unbiased assessments, look at all the special interest groups ratings on his voting record. Kerry is rated 0 or 100 for most of them, meaning he is at the extreme. They are invaluable in showing where an incumbent has stood on a series of votes in the past years. Ratings by groups on all sides of an issue are listed. When taken as a whole, these are compared, give a balanced view of the candidate. http://www.vote-smart.org/issue_rati...an_id=S0421103 Kerry won't make a stand. Here's more proof. Senator John Forbes Kerry Democrat refused to take the NPAT. He won't even discuss what he will support! The National Political Awareness Test (NPAT) is a key component of Project Vote Smart's Voter Self-Defense system. It asks candidates one central question: "Are you willing to demonstrate a good faith effort to provide voters with your inclinations on the issues you will most likely face on the citizen's behalf?" The NPAT is administered to all candidates for presidential, congressional, gubernatorial, and state legislative offices. The National Political Awareness Test (NPAT) asks candidates which items they will support if elected. It does not ask them to indicate which items they will oppose. Research of public polling data, shows voters are more concerned with what candidates would support when elected to office, not what they oppose. Now Compare Kerry to Sen Liberman, who did take NPAT. His voting record: show substantial variation and a more moderate position. Take the NPAT yourself and ask yourself why a politician would not take it, unless he wants to mislead the public. http://www.vote-smart.org/match_section.php Chose congressional voting records and find who matches your opinions. "Thom Stewart" wrote Nice try Bart, I do think it would be nice to keep Conservative's view vs Liberal's view on the front page for awhile. Your comments are missing? Don't you have anything to say in rebuttal? Ole Thom |

Why would you even doubt that I have proof? Its only "conservatives" that make
up "facts." http://taxpolicycenter.org/TaxFacts/...09&Topic2id=90 "Horvath" wrote in message ... The fact that he has a consistent record on certain major issues doesn't make
him an extremist, it just makes him consistent. If you want his rating based on his voting record, you should look at http://www.voterpunch.org Check "Select by Score" and search. You'll find Kerry rated just in the middle of Democrats. His record is clearly not "extremist." Of course, you're not interested in the truth, are you Bart? "Bart Senior" wrote in message . net... He is right.
I was correct in that Massachussetts ranks 6th as one of the worst states for high taxes per capita. But there is more money in the state. If the higher income leve is factored in Massachussetts rates much better. http://www.taxfoundation.org/staterankings.html I also found out military retirement income is not taxed in Massachusetts. Which was interesting.
