You may be right Thom.
Here's what A.Einstein said about technology: "the price of technology is trouble." Ain't it the truth? I tend to think folks from the past would be in awe of our technology; I also believe they would pity us, for other reasons. Scout "Thom Stewart" wrote in message ... Scout, Old Josh would scoff at anything with an electrical power supply. We forget, in our new world of information, that in Josh's world the dry cell battery was a pure PITA. Katy talks about no computer and using a IBM electric and snail mail. I remember sending out the monthly bill payments by check, envelope and three cent stamps. All for a cost of less than 50 cents! We've come a long way but we do pay a terrible monetry price. What we accept as normal today would definitely be scoff at by past generations. I'm not sure scoff is the right word. Pity comes to mind, Ole Thom |

We're hoping for next May. We liked a lot of the Berks area, closer to where
my wife is working. Chester County looks good too, and western Montgomery isn't out of the question. We just aren't sure, but we keep looking. The prices are outrageous. In the meantime, I'm working on this place so I can get top dollar. I own it and hate the thoughts of a new mortgage. My wife is housestruck though, and wants a mansion. I want a simple place with land. Scout "Scott Vernon" wrote in message ... Did you find a house yet? Berks Co.? Plowville area? -- Scott Vernon Plowville PA __/)__/)__ "Scout" wrote in message ... Built it myself, took years and was a PITA. Not a lot went wrong after it was finished coz I knew who was gonna maintain it but still - just the general maintenance........ My current place is a small 2 BR cottage on 3.5 acres that I've also built meself. Nearly finished including the small attached machine shop so I have somewhere to play on cold wet days.
