I'm perfectly aware of this. It is, however, still a sailing newsgroup and
not a politics one. My point was that the ratio of posts on US politics has
been far outstripping the sailing stuff - when you have to *hunt* amongst
the pointless political crap (pointless because nobody is going to make
anyone else switch sides) to find some boat talk, then I think the balance
has swung just a little the wrong way. Round here, we would say to the
politicos, "C'mon guys, screw the nut!".

interpretation of the Constitution of the United States. When it says
"Congress shall pass no law .." I think that means NO law and when it says

sought to defend our constitution.. Now people who act like Nazis are
"conservatives", if they pretend to be religious, and people like me, who
believe Government should obey the law, are left wing?? Oh well ...

but as he seems to have been orphaned by the Republicans, I am hanging
out there in the middle along with him. The Republicans have moved so
far to the right that most of the rest of us do look like leftists by
