![]() "Jonathan Ganz" wrote in message Actually, it's none of your business. Patriotism isn't about service. It's about believing and supporting the US Constitution and the values that it espouses. Just because one does or doesn't serve in the military isn't good enough to be patriotic. Just because one serves the community, isn't enough to be considered patriotic. It's easy to claim that... "I was in the military, therefore, I'm patriotic." That's a load of crap. Calling someone unamerican is most definitely not patriotic, as it goes against everything that we hold as values. I don't have to prove my patriotism, and I don't ask anyone else to either. If you truly believe the above, Jon, I feel genuinely sorry for you. You've lived here all you life (I'm assuming) and are clueless as to what constitutes patriotism. I'd suggest a redux of basic American history, with emphasis on such names as Patrick Henry, George Washington, and such. Max |
