Bart, do you realize how much good Bush/Cheney could do if
they stopped pandering to their corporate friends? The environment, healthcare, jobs? They could do far more good than Kerry giving 10%. Get with it man. Bush comes from a family with lots and lots of money and connections. Cheney made millions working for an oil company that is now the benefit of the Iraq invasion. -- "j" ganz @@ www.sailnow.com "Bart Senior" wrote in message ... Jon, Don't you realize how much good John Kerry could do if he gave some of his wealth to charity? If he and his wife gave away half of their personal wealth they would still have enough money to support their descendants for the next 15 generations. If they gave away 10% which could be as much as $300 million! They could do tremendous good. People with wealth like this, and liberal beliefs can act on their beliefs. But no, Kerry is a hypocrite. It's never his money. --it's always ours. He'd rather vote to increase spending and raise our taxes, choke off the economy, and sell us out, while he lives like a king and a hypocrite. Jonathan Ganz wrote Well, in that case, send me your money Bart, since I don't use mine, I'll use yours. This is such right-wing trash that it's unbelieveable. "Bart Senior" wrote Nothing shaky about it. The point is simple: Liberals never use their own money--its always yours. If Kerry wants my respect, he can start by emptying out his pockets and backing up his beliefs. DSK wrote Bart Senior wrote: Kerry and Edwards are candidates with $1 to 3 billion dollars, and $70 million, respectively. What is this business of taking everybody else's money to feed and clothe people? Why not just do it themselves if they really care? Take a close look at who donates more to charities, Bart. You are sprinting out onto a very shaky limb. |

I didn't see where the Heinz/Kerrys gave any of the tax reduction back. They
benefited far more than the relative paupers, Bush and Cheney. Huh. Didn't work for Ken Lay, did it? Oh and check this out http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4732081/ Greed is good. DSK |

In other words, they took this amount as a tax credit using the
averaging system... they didn't really give hand over any actual money. Maybe you can explain what you mean to us slower readers, Doug. Certainly if she received the royalties as income and donated them, she took a tax deduction. You wouldn't single her out not to be able to take a deduction taken by millions and force her to pay tax on income she did not keep but put to a good charity, now would you? Dick Cheney also took a deduction for his public speaking, since his time is so incredibly valuable.... More explanation needed. How would Cheney take a deduction for his public speaking? |

Hypocrites say they have heart and don't give. Kerry and company
have tons of money, sit on a platform based on giving to the needy, and yet give very little relative to their immense wealth. Likewise the extremist liberals in Hollywood who have big mouths and deep pockets. The only one I respect is Rosie O'Donnell. She admits she is overpaid and gives generously, backing up her political beliefs with her generous actions. Jonathan Ganz wrote Check into how many US citizen died needlessly in Iraq.
