Well, I'm teaching sailing this afternoon. I'm teaching tomorrow. I sailed
over the 4th and I sailed yesterday for fun. What's your point.. besides
the one on the top of your head?

Mooring? I keep my boat in a slip in Sausalito. I teach there
as well as on a lake.

Do you teach anything besides fudge packing?

Since you seem to be an expert, perhaps you would
care to enlighten us... on second thought, don't.

oh i apologize
there seemed to be a discussion on this group about some habit that i am
unfamaliar with: namely sailing backwards on your mooring
thought you would know something about that

Ah.... well, I don't sail backwards on a mooring. I saw a guy try that
once in Cane Garden Bay, BVI. Actually, he was trying to position
his boat to watch the sunset. He attached the mooring line to a stern
cleat, then proceeded to get it caught between the rudder and the
keel. We helped him get it uncaught, then he honored us with Don
Perion and letting us look at his very hot, bikinied girlfriend.

Yes, it would have been downwind - he only ever sails downwind, wherever he
goes. The winds all follow him, you see - he's a wind god.
