Didn't it occur to him to just turn his head? Much simpler method.

Ah.... well, I don't sail backwards on a mooring. I saw a guy try that
once in Cane Garden Bay, BVI. Actually, he was trying to position
his boat to watch the sunset. He attached the mooring line to a stern
cleat, then proceeded to get it caught between the rudder and the
keel. We helped him get it uncaught, then he honored us with Don
Perion and letting us look at his very hot, bikinied girlfriend.

oh i apologize
there seemed to be a discussion on this group about some habit that i am
unfamaliar with: namely sailing backwards on your mooring
thought you would know something about that

Mooring? I keep my boat in a slip in Sausalito. I teach there
as well as on a lake.

Well, I'm teaching sailing this afternoon. I'm teaching tomorrow. I sailed
over the 4th and I sailed yesterday for fun. What's your point.. besides
the one on the top of your head?

Yes, it would have been downwind - he only ever sails downwind, wherever he
goes. The winds all follow him, you see - he's a wind god.

Thats because your a lower class laborer that is required to
physically exert yourself at least 9 hours a day with a supervisor
looking over your back making sure you complete your required task.

Many here have internet related businesses that allow us to earn a
nice living without a supervisor standing behind us making sure the
man get his dollars worth of hide. So spend many months at sea then
get to do as they please when they are ashore. Many are indepentant
contrators that have time off as well between projects. You see not
everyone is as stupid and dumb as you and are required to punch a time
clock.

Gee I started 2 companies while Clinton was president, but it had
nothing at all to do with who was president. Started one while Bush
was president, had nothing to do with him either. Whats your point
clown? You looking for an excuse for your constant failures?

Whats obivious is you never have done anything here but bitch. Perhaps
we should call you bitchboy, seein how you never sail, punch a clock
and bitch like a overworked underpaid loser.

have a nice day.

You to..

you sound fairly "intelligent"
reasonably articulate
but yet incredibly stupid

i am impressed my your skills
a successful businessman!
wow---!!
in america? no!
god bless president bush!
anyone can make it here!

me: just a silly day laborer making min. wage that happens to own a sailboat
not a smart investment, i'll admit.
but a man has to do something with the few hours not spent at the mercy of
the infernal factory.

ya see: i spend my days filling those silly jelly doughnuts full of jelly so
you and your wife can stuff your fat faces.
i make 1 cent for every doughnut which means you are both eating an awful
lot of them.

i imagine it is unlikely your boat still floats on her lines?
more likely you can't undo the bridle from the bow cleat, much less tie your
shoes.
are you the guy passing legislation to study the problems of obesity in
america?
god bless you, it is about time.

in my little bit of spare time i am learning english so i can gain some
knowledge of your culture and attempt to have an "intelligent" conversation
with people of your stature

make no mistake my family of 18 and i most certainly appreciate your
patronage and benevelence.

yes i'll take the boat back to mexico with me when i leave.
what a day that will be!
it will certainly be a tight fit with everyone on board, and i don;t know
where the color tv will go yet
..........but never mind

just need to clean her up a bit (take off the numbers)
get her to float a bit longer
stitch up some temporary sails..............or maybe given how succesful you
are sir....can you spare an old genoa or two?

if you sail like the rant you provided, and if sailing means going in
circles.......will then i'm doubly impressed.

you a sailor: now i understand american humor!
