Since you seem to be an expert, perhaps you would
care to enlighten us... on second thought, don't. -- "j" ganz @@ www.sailnow.com "Horvath" wrote in message ... On Wed, 7 Jul 2004 16:18:28 -0700, "Jonathan Ganz" wrote this crap: Mooring? Ah.... well, I don't sail backwards on a mooring. I saw a guy try that
once in Cane Garden Bay, BVI. We were there a couple of trips ago and the idiot next to us on a mooring tossed an anchor over the stern. In the morning after spinning around countless times during the night he had everything really twisted up. He saw we had diving gear on deck and called us on the radio and asked if we would dive down and untangle everything. It was pretty rough and I didn't want to get an anchor chain slammed into my face so I told him to call his charter company. S/V Express 30 "Ringmaster" "No shirt, no skirt, full service" |

Ah.... well, I don't sail backwards on a mooring. I saw a guy try that
once in Cane Garden Bay, BVI. Actually, he was trying to position his boat to watch the sunset. He attached the mooring line to a stern cleat, then proceeded to get it caught between the rudder and the keel. We helped him get it uncaught, then he honored us with Don Perion and letting us look at his very hot, bikinied girlfriend. -- "j" ganz @@ www.sailnow.com "gonefishiing" wrote in message ... oh i apologize there seemed to be a discussion on this group about some habit that i am unfamaliar with: namely sailing backwards on your mooring thought you would know something about that "Jonathan Ganz" wrote in message ... you sound fairly "intelligent" reasonably articulate but yet incredibly stupid i am impressed my your skills a successful businessman! wow---!! in america? no! god bless president bush! anyone can make it here! me: just a silly day laborer making min. wage that happens to own a sailboat not a smart investment, i'll admit. but a man has to do something with the few hours not spent at the mercy of the infernal factory. ya see: i spend my days filling those silly jelly doughnuts full of jelly so you and your wife can stuff your fat faces. i make 1 cent for every doughnut which means you are both eating an awful lot of them. i imagine it is unlikely your boat still floats on her lines? more likely you can't undo the bridle from the bow cleat, much less tie your shoes. are you the guy passing legislation to study the problems of obesity in america? god bless you, it is about time. in my little bit of spare time i am learning english so i can gain some knowledge of your culture and attempt to have an "intelligent" conversation with people of your stature make no mistake my family of 18 and i most certainly appreciate your patronage and benevelence. yes i'll take the boat back to mexico with me when i leave. what a day that will be! it will certainly be a tight fit with everyone on board, and i don;t know where the color tv will go yet .........but never mind just need to clean her up a bit (take off the numbers) get her to float a bit longer stitch up some temporary sails..............or maybe given how succesful you are sir....can you spare an old genoa or two? if you sail like the rant you provided, and if sailing means going in circles.......will then i'm doubly impressed. you a sailor: now i understand american humor! Good.......Now Get lost Joe |

He was a powerboater... didn't know squat about sailboats. I was
surprised that the Moorings let him have the boat. I guess they figured he would motor the whole time. -- "j" ganz @@ www.sailnow.com "Michael" wrote in message ...
