That seems a little high. Does it have a trailer, or a cradle? Any
electronics?

Dunno where you've been looking, but in the Northeast asking price for a

'78
in decent condition would be about double that.

I thought is was a good deal... That is why it sold in two days and I missed
it!

Boats are like women and busses. If you miss one there will be another along
in twenty minutes.

Booby**** had one and sold it.

That's 3 points in the Catalina 27's favor.

Okay sailors,

We are thinking about purchasing a 78 Catalina 27' Does anyone have an
opinion about this boat. I understand they are more of a small cruising
boat, but pretty fast too. I have not had the chance to survey the boat in
person yet. It is said to be ready to sail and has an 11 hp inboard diesel.
I will call them tonight. It has an autopilot, all sails, roller furler,
dodger & bimini top, alcohol stove etc. and they are asking $4000. Any
Catalina specific questions I need to ask?

Happy Sails,

He's the one who keeps proclaiming it. I'm just the messenger.

Where I live, seventies boats are stacked up, with signs that say,
"FREE, TAKE ONE."

And I'll take you to where they are. They're just down the street
from me.
