You are all failing to take into account the effect of doppler shift and how it affects color. As you sail towards a light source, the wavelength will be shorter, and as you sail away, longer. I'm sure this is a serious problem, worthy of an extended thread all its own. Especially as you tack out of the solar system with your light sail! Cheers |
