When I returned home, I topped up
my boat's tank. It took ...drumroll, please ...wait for it


Well...it all depends on the weather, of course...and when and where you need
to be. I usually top off my tank once a season.

I could see that, depending on where you're sailing. There are places
here that you'd be sailing the whole time and other places that have
no or light wind. 3 gallons is pretty good though. That lasts me a whole
season, but I only have a 4-horse engine.

Not trying to bump your wagon but counting sleeping time and shore or
fishing time vs ( for my 18hp Univ fuel consumption---1qt/hr) you'd be
somewhere around 50%.with that 3Gal.

Now, Nutsy sitting in his "Slip" at his Nav Station, writing post the
ASA would be consuming 0%. Throw in a trip to Oyster Bay and back could
motor one way and could use less than you (% wise)

That is why our vessels are called Aux.
