Default Safety Requirements ...

If you want to sail with me offshore, you have to hank on when you
come on deck at night, and you have to urinate in the head. I don't
want to lose someone over the side.

Good idea... make that all signalling devices, and firefighting
equipment... these are (or should be) survey items too


make sure the lifesling is actually attached to the boat....

Usually the lifesling is stowed when we get on a charter boat, so we
have to mount it ourselves. But I also pay out and flake down the

line,
checking it out too.
