Okay, so now we know Scotty doesn't know how to read a chart!
and why would I have a chart for LIS, dip****? Hmmmm. I guess you don't have a GPS either. Most people do. Most people who sail. Guess that leaves you out!!!! Then again you were sailing around without a handheld! What a jerk you are! RB |

What a liar!.
What!? LOL........... And what would I have to gain about saying our dog spent the day on the cockpit floor if it wasn't true? What am I missing here? Have you completely lost it? S/V Express 30 "Ringmaster" "No shirt, no skirt, full service" |

Loki is the boat; Molly is the dog.
Molly will try to go where we lead, but she does hesitate. We found the lifejacket, which has a big handle on it, makes things easy - when she feels you lift with the handle she knows she's going. For swimming, we started using the float to give her easy access both up and down. Its funny, even though she's a Portuguese Water Dog, she prefers the float to actually swimming. Maybe this year she'll do better - we're told it really takes a few years to learn how to swim efficiently. "katysails" wrote in message ... Jeff, Does Loki go up and down the stern ladder without prodding or do you have to use an incentive? Chopper will go up fine, but the down trip usually involves a leap at the last minute, which can be quite unsettling (65 lbs of dog into the middle of a tippy dinghy...). -- katysails s/v Chanteuse Kirie Elite 32 http://katysails.tripod.com "Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." - Robert A. You guessed wrong asshole! So...Scotty has a GPS. Does it have maps? Even without that feature he should be able to figure out distance to Oyster bay. Then again, this is Scotty Potti the daysailor we're talking about!!! RB |

Then again you were sailing around without
a handheld! are you afraid to sail without one, daysailor girl? "Afraid" to Scotty Potti means dumb enough to leave basic safety gear off the boat. Yeah, I'm also afraid to sail without lifejackets, flare gun, 3 VHFs, and paper charts! What an idiot! Now I remember....you got that POS GPS from test driving a car!!! What a total loser! Bwahahahahaha! RB |

Maybe this year she'll do better - we're told it really takes a few years to learn how to swim efficiently We keep the life hacket on Choppie in the water, roo and wwhile in the donghy...he has the same "water dog" problem...goes in willingly but won't swim a lick without the life jacket..prefers to stand on his hind legs walking out until he's shoulder height standing upright...really weird....the labs and goldens don't seem to have these proclivities....haven't tried him on a float, yet...maybe that would work.... -- katysails s/v Chanteuse Kirie Elite 32 http://katysails.tripod.com "Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." - Robert A. "Joe" wrote I sail all the time without all the above. boob****'s afraid to motor in the LIS w/o his electronic gizmos. He's no sailor. What did you get for test driving that Jap POS ? Joe, few years back ,Caddy was giving Magellan handhelds ($99 value) to test drive their new SUV. Didn't have to drive it, the salesman just handed it over. Scotty |

Not sure this is a poodle thing, Katy. Niki loves to swim. She fetches a floating dumbbell, occasionally diving under it and snagging it in her mouth while broaching. Depends on the power of your boat Bob.... Overproof can easily tow an
inflatable because she has the mass and canvas to overcome the drag. CM "Bobsprit" wrote in message ... | Alien has a nearly 10 foot inflatable Quicksilver with an airdeck. That is how Donuts' Dad taught him how to swim, tossed him in the lake. Once
little Donut untied and freed himself from the burlap bag, he started to swim. Scotty "katysails" wrote in message ... Donal erroneously said: Trust me! The dog *can* swim. Not all dogs can swim.
