Actually the filter part of cigarrette butts is fiberglass that will not decompose for years, and the "paper" is plasticized to the point where it will also not degrade easily either. Not always true. The cigs I used to smoke would burn if you lit the filter... Maybe it was plastic or paper? Cheers ... Some people should give it a rest. Some people (many, actually) should wake up.
