Few actually knew that he fought incipient Alzheimer's through most, if not
all, of his two administrations. If this is true, then Reagan committed a crime against the country. His oath of office demands than in the case of any mental impairment, that he forfiet his command. If his people "protected him" and played puppeteer, then they also committed crimes against the USA. Look it up. RB |

I wouldn't expect you to know jack **** about Alzheimer's, Bubbles--or about anything, for that matter, come to think of it--so I'll fill you in. It's a progressive disease, generally beginning well before a person enters his sixth decade (that would be his fifties, Bubbles, since I've no doubt you couldn't do the math). Symptoms may appear immediately or be quite delayed. Early Sx include simple forgetfulness, a mild inability to maintain mental focus, and periodic mood swings. Later Sx include what most folks believe classic Alzheimer's to be: drastic mood alteration, severe memory loss, and an inability to maintain a train of thought. Reagan had mild mood swings and occasional forgetfulness during the latter part of his first 4 years. During his second term he began to suffer more extensive memory problems. His disease wasn't diagnosed until well into his second term of office. And as most presidents use staff to function as their memories, it was not deemed a problem for Reagan. But with half his brain tied behind his back he was still a far better, more effective president than either of the Bushes or Clinton. As for your complete lack of a sense decency or compassion for a man plagued with such a debilitating illness late in his life, you are unworthy to be his boot licker. Max |

He wasn't better than Clinton, but he was a decent pres. I didn't
like a lot of his social policies, but at least he wasn't a crook or liar, and he wasn't stupid, even though he was portrayed that way. He was physically and mentally tough. I met him when he was governer. -- "j" ganz @@ www.sailnow.com "Maxprop" wrote in message hlink.net... Sometimes disease strikes without direction. In this case it hit the right guy. Racists should all end up drooling and calling their wives mommy! Bwahahahahaha! RB |

Maxprop stated: His disease wasn't diagnosed until well into his second term
of office. And in actuality, that diagnosis was just an accurate guess since at that time, the only accurate way to diagnose Alzheimer's was a cadaver study on the brain. Accurate diagnosis is new....Until very recently, Alzheimer's was diagnosed as dementia, schizophrenia, bi-polar illness, stroke residue, and autonomic nerve disease. They all share common paths and symptoms. -- katysails s/v Chanteuse Kirie Elite 32 http://katysails.tripod.com "Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." - Robert A. I think Max was trying to be funny. Reagan wasn't diagnosed until well after he left office. ...
