How close did the tornadoes and flooding get to you?

LP
We just had some tornadic conditions...the flooding is approximately one
block away! But we live up on top of a very large hill....

Scotty asked:
Hey Katy, you get hit with any storms up your way this week?

We had a lot more rain the first part of the week and everything is still
well above flood level...and we're supposed to get more rain....and it's
pretty cold....

it was 46* at night in Davenport. Nice for sleeping.

Our grass is about 12'' high and too wet to mow.

I was in Midland, Texas, this week. Wednesday the wind was 47-60 mph. The
blowing sand reduced visibility to about a hundred yards. And then it
started to rain. It rained mud. I hadn't seen that since the fifties.

On the bright side, the cactus is in bloom.

was some nasty ones across Indy & Illinois. Gary on Tuesday night was

Nope...rained all friggin weekend...poured and poured and when it wasn't
raining the wind was howling around 32 knots out of the SE and gusting....a
bunch of boats pulled out of the Commodore's Cup race on Sunday....went to
the induction of the new commodore, and the Blessing of the Fleet (had a
bagpiper from the police department play) and then went to the Commodore's
Reception....that was nice....we rented a slip for the weekend or we
wouldn't have been able to stay...would have been nigh on impossible to row
our dink back and forth in the weather conditions....got a lot of work done,
though and went to see "The Day After Tomorrow"...
