My list would include Ciderhouse Rules and Millenium Man just for
starters I don't think I saw millenium Man. Cider House Rules was good, but I think World According to Garp is the better Irving adaptation. RB |

I'm afraid I didn't like Garp..the book was OK, the film..wellll.
The movie is awkward at times, but I liked the script which managed to touch on key moments on the book...and Jenny Fields was truly brought to life. Owen Meany is thought to be an impossible adaptation after many failed efforts. I'll put Millenium Man on my list. RB |

A few better
To kill a mockinbird, 12 angry men, Old man of the sea, the cain munity, the sand pebble, Bullit, ect.................. All good movies, but not "better" by any defintion other than yours. Cain Mutiny was a another high point for Bogart. Old man and the Sea is a good effort. By any personal standard, Bullit is horribly dated. Papion is "better" for McQueen fans, especially if you read the book. RB |

The Caine Mutiny is excellent, one of the few movies I've seen that held up to the book (although it was far less detailed of course). I also like the African Queen, another classic Bogart movie. One of these days we're going to watch The Maltese Falcon. DSK |
