You heard me Bob..... a 5 hp won't put that rubber dinghy on step... you
won't get hole shot... or it'll take you 3 football fields to do it. Especially at your current weight. I'll bet you ANY amount of money that you're wrong. The Quicksilver 300 is 9.10 and will plave with me in it with the 5HP. It would not do it with a smaller inflatable I suspect. It just makes 14 knots on flat water. More like 10 or 11 typically. This is a great chance to see what you know, Mooron. Let's set up a good bet and I'll have Suzanne snap the pics. I honestly did not expect it to plane with less than 7 hp. At full throttle it takes about 10 seconds and leaning forward helps. Once I'm out of the hole I can back off the throttle a bit, but not much. RB |
