Is that unreasonable? Unusual?

You could ask but most marinas consider your leased space still theirs to do
with what they want while your not there. For example I've never seen a marina
contract that does not have a clause that requires you to notify the marina
when your going to be away from your slip for 2 weeks or more. Why? They want
to rent it. Now imagine if your apartment complex had the same idea. People
would go nuts. Why do marinas get away with this!!! In my opinion if your
going away for 2 weeks and the marina wants to rent your leased slip you should
get the money for the sub lease.
Anyway, if you want to ask I'd love to park my boat in Annapolis for a
couple of days. What's the available time?

Tom,
Please be advised that I didn't get fired. As I stated before, my sarcastic
"fired" reply was to the Boob's comment about my early retirement.
In January I accepted an early retirement offer that my company made to
every employee ofer 50. 1400 people in total. I checked with my financial
advisor, lawyer and friends who had seen similar offers at other companies.
They all confirmed that it was a very generous offer. I took it and so did 94%
of the people that were eligible. I had paid my house off early years ago
after seeing the first reorg. frenzy sweep the country even though I was
untouched. My 3 kids have all graduated from college and I have no major
bills. I own my boat. I don't need a job. I don't need to take wedding
photos on weekends. I don't need to sell other peoples junk boat parts on
ebay.
