There were some obvious results, like huskies and other sled dogs are "original" breeds, but they also found the Pekinese are an ancient breed, and one that as billed as an "ancient Egyptian dog" (I forget the name) was developed in the last few hundred years. Yes, I heard that science program too. There are a number of interesting studies of dog DNA, linking behavior to genetics among other important questions. Easier and cheaper than doing the same research on people... although the implications are a little scary... DSK |
