Why no luff curl?


It's a Frankenstein photo - the shots were mostly taken over 20 seconds or
so (some later), so maybe there was a bit of curl but I didn't catch it. I
was lying on the foredeck looking straight up, so I'm not sure if any curl
would obvious from that position (I'm 'inside' the sail). The idea was to
show Boobsie that it exists and that we can get it to draw, whereas his
spinny photo only shows existence and no draw.

At least it had enough air to be in with a chance of curling.

If it turns into a drift, we unclip the normal spinny sheet and use a really
thin line instead. Stops the clew getting pulled down by the weight of the
sheet.
