Default MILDEW...

"Capt. Mooron" wrote in message ...
I found some isolated areas [port and starboard settee / bunk area behind
the flip up back rests] that had some mildew staining. That damned black
crap in the corners on the fabric. I was disgusted!

And you should be. But have you ever heard of Tilex mildew remover,
perhaps a bucket of watered down bleach. A 3,500 psi pressure washer
is a bit extreme dont you think?

Well I panicked and rented a 3500 psi pressure washer... stripped out the
boat ... opened the windows and went nuts!

Sounds like Canaduh SOP.

I cleaned the interior top to
bottom. The upholstery is like new now, the hand made Quebec Lace curtains
are soaking.... and the friggin' Mildew is so outta there it's like it was
never present.

Are you soaking your matching hand crochet dolies?

I also managed to rent out the washer to 3 other folks working on their
boats and made the rental fee + $50.

Swerd thinking!

The pressure wash of the interior will now be an annual task after seeing
the results. I normally machine wash all the cushions but I was stuck with
an upholstery cleaner and wet/dry vacuum for the stuff I couldn't remove
from the vessel. Not anymore..... Bwahahahahahahahahaaaa!!!!

Sheeeze................ Go for it mooron. I will keep the inside of
my boat dry, that way mildew will not grow.
