The odd thing about cotter pins in turnbuckles is that they actually aren't needed as long as there's some tension on the stay. Not that I recommend going for extended periods without pins, but leaving them out while tuning the rig isn't a problem. If a turnbuckle is trying to "unwind" you have a problem. |
