Just to put a finer point on it, I have seen many races where a boat will fly to the top mark and round first either by pure boat speed of that lucky shift only to be completely swamped when the following fleet consumes her air leaving her floundering as they cruise on by. And sometimes they don't get by if the line is near... Cheers |
