Yes, and an ASA burgee for your yacht. All will be sent to you as soon as
your check clears.

Ok, I'm all over it. Is there a membership card, and do we wear
cool jackets like the bowling team?

ha ha, seriously tho, WM or Boats-r-US used to have a 'new boat

discount'.
A discusion on another list as to weather they still do, seemed to confirm
that some of the stores do. It's a discount for 3 months after the

purchase
of a boat. Don't have all the details.

Scotty

What you're referring to was a discount card for purchases at WM that was
handed out by brokerages when you bought one of their listed boats-I say
boats because I would venture to guess that they also handed these things
out at powerboat brokers. The card entitled you to a percentage discount for
a purchase made at the store within 3 months or so of the boat purchase.
Never used mine, didn't buy anything for the boat in the first year. I don't
know if they gave these things out at the store or just through the
brokerages. I assumed at the time that the broker purchased the cards from
WM, but what do I know?

They have a deal now where they offer an additional discount for purchases over
$2500.

We had a burgee contest last winter but nothing ever came of it....Jon might
have the results still posted on his website...

....barring the above an alternate dress code of wearing as little as
possible, presuming an adequate use of sunblock, is preferable to stuffy old
navy attire and hats with scrambled eggs running across the brim....sarongs
and pareus are always acceptable (I dug out my summer clothes before our
trip to find that I have 8 pairs of khaki shorts and only one pair of
navy....nothing like khaki and a white shirt....)

Joe warned: That will clash with the tin foil hats most members here wear

You weren't supposed to tell him that until after the secret handshake....

Nah, it'd make the cap too heavy. It'd sink when it blew off your
shiny head and tartan cap straps are difficult to procure

"Shiny"???

Not yet!

I'm not as old as you!
