Wing keels have a tendency to imitate a Bruce anchor. Some on the Chesapeake
have found out that if you go aground with them on mud or sand the wings bury
and a tow is frequently the only way to get free.

Some acquaintances of ours had one for several years...prettiest daysailor
I've ever seen and truly functional...they are very expensive, though, but
hold their value well. And how many 15 ft boats can you rig with a
spinnaker?
