Sailor 19 to the Mac 26X. I've towed them out of harms way. I've tried in
vain to get them sailing well..... they refuse to get up on step when under

none.... they had to be hauled south to sell.

Remember when the salesman sold you an expensive vacuum cleaner that

Mooron, you will now be called a "Mac Basher" by Jim, his standard response to any post

Dismay not, for he is apparently being coached by the Boobster.

Actually, I'm not. But from prior experience in discussions such as

say he could of done one hell of a better job in judging what to buy

You can enjoy an old soapbox derby car made from okra crates and old

You were doing well until you got to the "loose floorboards" bit.

My empathy for Jim lies in the fact that I used to own a Bayliner 2455. I
had 10 great years on it. With hindsight, I would have chosen a different
boat. However, I don't regret my choice for a second.

Jim won't regret his purchase because he is sensible enough to sail a boat
within its limits. It won't perform in the way that he expects. That
doesn't really matter. He will still get enormous pleasure from sailing.

That's a really good power boat. One of my best friends has one. Even after
5 years he can still get close to what he paid for it. it's a well balanced

I once purchased a boat with wrong assumptions. I had a very steep learning
curve on the first few outings. I very quickly learned that the boat would
not do the things that I had planned before I took delivery. However, I
kept the boat for 10 years and I had a great time in her.

I agree that Jim's purchase is based on inaccurate assumptions. I also
think that he will learn the capabilities of his new boat very quickly. So
he won't take it out to sea, but he will still have a great time in it.
