200 lbs on a 3000 lbs boat does matter. Quite a bit in fact.

Let's see...

Question: does adding weight make the boat sail faster? Does adding
weight on the transom, digging the aft end of the boat into the water,
make it sail faster?

Here are the possible range of verities:
1- yes (counterpoint- this would contradict all sailing knowledge from
prehistory up to today... this is why you don't see 300# motors on the
transoms of America's Cup yachts)

But you do see umpires!

Hahhahahahhaha

Cheers

Allow me to clarify..... I was so far back in the woods, I had to come

out
to hunt!

What were you hunting for? lol

LP (I didn't get the nickname "curious kitten" for nothing...)

Well, before you flew that grebe, we were taking a thick ice
layer for granted.

The ice is in my veins...... thus my need for high test spirits and sultry
