I could have been in yesterday, but couldn't
find any crew! It takes three people to push the trailer to the hoist. Towing it over wasn't an option because there are rows of masts in the way and it's a very tight fit followed by a ramp. The weather was perfect 15-20 knots and 60 degree. I had everything rigged and ready, registration current, sails, lifejackets, and safety gear loaded --but no crew. I wish I was back in San Francisco --I never had trouble finding crew there. The water is very cold 42 degrees. I wonder how long an average person would last in in the water. 30 to 40 minutes? I got some sanding and fairing done on the big boat in the morning--good weather for that too. The wind blew the dust away nicely. Got to go to Boston today, maybe when I return she'll be in Scotty |
