Default ethical question

What criteria do you use to judge the use or validity of genes to be
included in the human pool?
Are this persons genes so poor that they should be eliminated?
Or perhaps they are merely mediocre in which case they shoud not be activly
eliminated... but no resources should be wasted "saving" them from potential
disaster?
Perhaps they are vital to the future of humanity and should be cherished?
(alt.sailing.asa falls in the mediocre band ... as does most things and
people on the planet(imho))
